Michael Krans has been a successful Business Owner, Project Manager, & Registered Designer for the last 10 years in the timber frame industry, designing homes and commercial buildings all over Ontario.
Coming from a small town but understanding the bigger picture, Michael’s large fund of experience along with his infectious, optimistic energy has contributed to his successes and is appreciated by his clients. Like the philosophers and explorers that he studied in University, he has a keen interest in the environment and the ways in which people interact with the various worlds which they inhabit. He is continually upgrading his skills with cutting edge CAD software and enjoys studying the theory and practice of design and architecture.
On his limited down time he enjoys playing soccer, mountain biking and spending time with family and friends.

Henry Krans Red Seal Carpenter, Master Woodworker, Shop Foreman Vice President, Owner, Timmerman Timberworks
Henry Krans has been an intricate part of the timber frame industry for most of his life starting out in the family business whose high standards in wood working was the foundation for his work ethics and insurmountable experience.
Driven to do timber framing by the pure simplicity of joining wood using traditional tools and the permanence and beauty of the finished structure, Henry studied the history and the masters of timberframing that furthered his growth in the field. To polish his skill set he found employment with the leaders in the industry and spent years doing hands on work and project management which lead to him successfully obtaining his Red Seal Carpentry certification and starting up Timmerman Timberworks.
Like most people who walk through a well crafted timberframe, Henry is influenced by the energy of the wood and the experience the space provides. Solely interesting in creating “Master” pieces, he looks forward to each new structure and pushing the design limits for client individuality sake.

Kevin Lankin Industrial Designer Designing for Timmerman Timberworks since 2007
Kevin has a varied design background ranging from consumer products to machinery. He has always considered the manufacturing processes to be used when designing products. Kevin worked primarily with metals before working at Timmerman Timberworks, and enjoys the simplicity and natural beauty of working with wood. After nearly 20 years of designing, Kevin still loves the challenges that each new project brings.
In his downtime Kevin enjoys many outdoors activities including cycling, camping, and snowmobiling, as well as spending time with family and friends.
His accomplishments at Timmerman are well noted and we are thankful for him consistently delivering outstanding meticulous work!

Janet Jacobson Office Manager for Timmerman since 2009
Having achieved many successes in her career, Janet is thrilled to be working in the timber frame industry and loves the diversity of her work at Timmerman, not to mention the daily smell of pine and the innovation in Timber framing.
Believing that “a man can do all things if he will” (Leon Battista Alberti 1404-1472) Janet’s renaissance approach to life has afforded her opportunities in diverse industries which have complemented her quest for truth and knowing, with a twist of adventure. Over and above her experience in the Arts, Administration, Finance, and Marketing, she feels her greatest asset is the myriad of great people she’s met along the way and likes to keep them close to her heart.
Since moving to Simcoe County and working with Timmerman, Janet feels she has come home to her “workshop” roots and has found inspiration in the day to day operations of the business and looks forward to what’s to come.
