At Timmerman, we’re proud to have been building timber frame structures since 1999 for families and businesses all across Ontario, and we are thankful for continually being awarded projects based on our solid performance and reputation.
Our extensive portfolio is comprised of homes, cottages, lodges, golf course club houses, public buildings, and churches. In a typical year we will fabricate and install somewhere between 20-30 timber frames. As a registered design firm, we also have a broad portfolio of design/build projects. We offer architectural, structural, and technical design and drafting services. We typically prefer to work hand-in-hand with local builders, but we do offer Project Management services and technical supervision.
Working extensively but not exclusively with top notch builders in the industry has afforded us the opportunity to focus on quality workmanship and client care. We’ve used that opportunity to produce some of the finest woodwork around. You will find some of our work in magazines such as Canadian Home Builders, Our Homes and Muskoka magazines.
We are located in the small town of Minesing (near Barrie, Ontario) and we have set out to raise frames all over the Province. We’ve built in Caledon, Orangeville, Hamilton, Sudbury, North Bay, Windsor, Barrie, Parry Sound, and all over Muskoka, including Port Carling, Rosseau, Huntsville, Dwight, Dorset, Lake of Bays, and Algonquin.
“Timmerman” which means carpenter in Dutch, stems from the owners, Henry and Michael Krans’ heritage and their admiration of traditional joinery and timber frame structures of all kinds.
